The Kunsthalle Exnergasse in the WUK Werkstätten- und Kulturhaus [House of Artwork and Culture] in Vienna defines itself as an open platform and exhibition space for the presentation and realization of projects belonging to innovative, experimental and contemporary art in its most different formats and forms.

The facilities at Kunsthalle Exnergasse are: 400 m2 space, mobile wall elements which function as flexible room and presentation structures, free budget of € 1.500 (for trips, housing and material), one technician for every exhibition (40 hours) for setting up and taking down of the exhibition, various technical devices, printing and mailing of 4000 invitation cards, press work, mailing and website, photo documentation. Kunsthalle Exnergasse supports additional project financing attempts by the person/curator submitting the project.

The Manifesta 6 School
is the central project of Manifesta 6, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art, which will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus from 23 September to 17 December 2006. The School is both the site and the content of the Biennial, and is its sole activity. Conceived and developed by the curators of Manifesta 6, Mai Abu ElDahab, Anton Vidokle and Florian Waldvogel, the School will offer three thematic transdisciplinary
departments comprising lecture series, publications, screenings, performances, exhibitions, radio and TV programmes, workshops and other activities.

The Manifesta 6 School is now accepting applications from cultural producers
across the whole spectrum, including visual artists, architects, writers, filmmakers, journalists, curators, composers, performers and others, who are interested in participating full-time in the School programme. The General Project: The assigned artists will live for 15 days in a house renovated for this purpose in the village of Gölyazi. An environment for communication and sharing between artists will be created with the help of artistic presentations and workshops. The aim is to turn the island into an Artpark with the works that accumulates over the years in this way.

Ravestipendien für Kurator/innen, Restaurator/innen, Museumstechniker/innen und Kulturmanager/innen Den Dialog der Kulturen fördern und ihr Bild voneinander genauer zeichnen zu helfen, sind die Aufgaben des ifa, das als Mittlerorganisation der deutschen Auswärtigen Kulturpolitik aktiv ist. Träger des Instituts sind das Auswärtige Amt, das Land Baden-Württemberg und die Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart.
Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt des Instituts liegt auf der Bildenden Kunst. Mit der Präsentation von Ausstellungen bekannter deutscher Künstlerinnen und Künstler in allen Erdteilen und ausländischer Kunst in den ifa-Galerien Stuttgart, Berlin und Bonn initiiert das ifa unmittelbaren Kulturdialog. Für Künstlerinnen und Künstler gibt es im In- und Ausland vielfältige materielle und ideelle Unterstützung. Für diejenigen, die in der Vermittlung und Realisierung von Ausstellungen Bildender Kunst tätig sind, gibt es in der Bundesrepublik bisher keine geeigneten Förderinstrumente. Durch die vielfältigen Kontakte im Rahmen der eigenen Ausstellungstätigkeit zu Kuratorinnen, Kuratoren und Ausstellungsinstituten in aller Welt stellt das ifa in vielen Transformationsländern einen großen Bedarf im Bereich Weiterbildung in Museums- und Kulturmanagement fest. Benötigt wird die Gelegenheit zu aktiver Bildung, nicht theoretischer Ausbildung. Ohne materielle Unterstützung von deutscher Seite ist ein solcher Aufenthalt für die Zielgruppe nicht möglich. Das Rave-Stipendium ist als Investition zu verstehen, die nicht nur kurzfristige, sondern nachhaltige Früchte trägt. Der Stipendiat erhält nicht nur Information, sondern kann aktiv partizipieren und im eigenen Land die in Deutschland gemachten praktischen Erfahrungen umsetzen.

WHAT IS NETPORN? Web-based media and environments that filter porn
images and traffic between industries and art/indie cultures,
corporations, ISP's and net users; involving daily (female and male)

Greenwall Foundation, the Jerome Foundation, the Andy Warhol
Foundation for the Visual Arts, and the National Endowment
for the Arts, between eight and ten new net art projects
(works of art that are made to be experienced online) will
be commissioned in 2005.
The fee for each commission will range from $US1,500 -
$US3,500.

audio + video series
Call for audio, video, and new media artists
The Rochester Art Center is pleased to announce a new series of exhibitions
featuring audio and video artists. The audio + video exhibition series will
utilize the AV gallery on the second floor of the Rochester Art Center. The
space is equipped with Paradigm 6.1-surround sound, Marantz high-resolution
projector, and interactive capabilities. We are currently taking
submissions for the 2005-06-exhibition season. Please include a detailed
explanation of your proposal with your submission along with a current
resume, artist statement, and appropriate support documentation (DVD, CD
etc.) to: Deadline extended through March 31st 2005

Turbulence Juried International Net Art Competition
New Radio and Performing Arts, Inc. is pleased to announce that with
the support of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, 5 net
art projects will be commissioned for the Turbulence web site in a
juried international (open to everyone) competition. Each commission
will be $5,000 (US).
