in 2008 to look at the evolving environment of virtual mobility
in the contemporary performing arts, in particular: OTM wishes to commission two researchers – one from Europe and one from outside Europe (probably Asia or Iberoamerica). The division of work will be negotiable depending on the researchers’ availability, skills and areas of knowledge. Researchers can apply independently or as a team. It is also possible for a lead researcher to apply with a larger network of international contributors – they should clearly state the planned division of labour and fees and include confirmation of availability of contributing researchers. Target date for publication of the report online is December 2008. It is hoped to launch it in an appropriate forum/s in 2009, as part of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. A total fee of 10.000€ is available for this research (inclusive of expenses, VAT, taxes, social contributions etc). Research will be carried out following a virtual mobility model and there is no budget for physical travel during the research period. There is a separate budget to cover the costs of creating interactive space on RAFT, also for publication, marketing and distribution costs. Festival of VideoPoetry 2008 VideoBardo, video poetry archive funded in 1996, opens its reception calls for audiovisual works to participate of its III International Festival of VideoPoetry 2008. The Festival will be held in different cities worldwide during the whole year, with its main location in Buenos Aires, Argentina during November. 1-Videopoetries can have a free subject matter, they can be done in any language and have no limit extension. 2-The works will be selected by /VideoBardo /for their further projection during the different exhibitions of the Festival. No awards will be granted. As /VideoBardo/ is a self-promoted project it does not have the financial means to pay the artists for their works neither to pay postage. Mit dem Stipendium werden künstlerische und/ oder dokumentarische Projekte gefördert, in deren Fokus das fotografische Bild und fotografische Prozesse stehen. Dabei soll die fotografische Auseinandersetzung mit der Stadt Dresden eine zentrale Rolle spielen, ohne dass das Stipendium auf Stadtfotografie im engeren Sinne beschränkt sein muss. Die Anwesenheit vor Ort wird erwartet. Das Stipendium umfasst während des 3-monatigen Arbeitsaufenthaltes in Dresden eine Förderung in Höhe von 1.000 €/ Monat, einen Zuschuss für Materialkosten in Höhe von maximal 1.000 € sowie freie Unterkunft. AUSSCHREIBUNG! Wien, April 2008: Die Kunstwerft und die basis wien vergeben heuer zum zweiten Mal den einzigen Preis für Kunstkritik in Österreich. Dabei wird das herkömmliche Verhältnis der Kunstproduktion zur Kunstrezeption umgedreht: KünstlerInnen beurteilen KritikerInnen. Neben dem Hauptpreis gibt es einen speziellen Förderpreis für angehende KunstkritikerInnen. Dafür können sich all jene bewerben, die bisher noch nicht, nur selten oder in schwer zugänglichen Medien publiziert haben. Die Aufgabenstellung hierfür lautet, eine Ausstellungsbesprechung für ein fiktives deutschsprachiges Magazin mit nicht mehr als 3500 Zeichen zu erstellen.
