Ann Mc Cormick

The irish artist Ann Mc Cormick opens her current Installation MIND MAP CITY at Kunsthalle M3, Mengerzeile 1-3, 12435, Berlin on October 26. from 19:00 - 21:00 hours.

In her project Mind Map City Ann Mc Cormick explores the relationship between painting and real space. What happens when images unfold into 3-D space.
She also explores themes of the urban environment and the perception of space, the ties between art and the environment, materials and context, art criticism and marketing.
Martin Fonfara, percussionist and composer (Grips Theater) has composed and arranged a sound installation for Mind Map City.

Ann Mc Cormick studied painting in Cork and Belfast and presently lives and works in Berlin.
Her points of reference are the works of the Abstract Expressionists and the German Experimental artists of the 20th century.
