Statement

English version:
The themes in my work have to do with the relationship of body to clothes, and clothes to social life.
We wear clothes the entire day. They serve as protection from cold and heat, like a second skin. But clothes also have social meanings.
I have been altering clothing-the material of my work-in order to play with viewer's perspective, and to suggest alternatives to the traditional or stereotypical ways of seeing the relationship of clothes to body and to society.
I sew without machine, only with my hands.
Sewing with hands takes much longer than by machine, but the process is important for me. Every stitch makes its own impression, and each is a gesture against consumerism and overproduction.
The materials I use are mostly old garments. I get my inspiration from the material, ultimately transforming it into a new object.
