Based in Amsterdam, the foundation agentur: is a platform for experimentation and research. Its aim is to provide a network and facility for artists and curators to develop new works and present them in the form of short events ranging from performances to small exhibitions, lasting from one evening up to three days. By facilitating and enforcing the intellectual exchange between artists, agentur: strives to enhance the experimental character within the art scene of the Netherlands and to stimulate discussions about different artistic positions as well as to reveal underlying structures of established systems.
agentur: offers an artist in residency and is part of Transartists. The coming residents are the artist Nicolas Fenouillat (F) till May 15 and the curator Ciara Ennis (USA) from May 16 till June 30, 2007.
